Abstract: The medieval mining town of Brskovo, the remains of which are located today within the territory of the Municipality of Mojkovac, Montenegro, represents a significant cultural-historical heritage and a symbol of the centuries-long mining tradition of this region. This article analyzes historical facts, starting with the earliest recorded mention of Brskovo in written sources dating to 1243, the arrival of Saxon miners, the initiation of mining activities and trade during the Middle Ages, and the archaeological investigations conducted to date.
