Abstract: The article examines the agricultural policy of the Geshov–Danev coalition cabinets (1911–1913). The author looks for the reasons why the agricultural sector became a priority for Bulgarian statesmen in the early 20th century. The 1911 Constitutional amendments, especially the establishment of the Ministry of Agriculture and State Property, are depicted. The focus of the paper falls on the legislative activity of the 15th Ordinary National Assembly. Among the reforms and measures of the government there were: The growth of the expenditures for agricultural measures; the adoption of laws, like: Law on the Improvement of Livestock Breeding; Law of Agricultural Chambers; the establishment of Fund for Improvements of Water Bodies and Forestry; Other measures were amendments of existing laws, like Law on Preservation, Measurement and Use of the Urban and Rural Pastures; Law on Forests; Act on BAB, and etc.
